Juanita Stapleton Lehman (1917-2009)
Juanita Stapleton Lehman, 91, of Ashland, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2009, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Lehman was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles Wince and Amanda Dennis Stapleton.
She was a member of Beech Street Christian Church and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John P. Jack Lehman, who died in 2006; a daughter, Mary Margaret Logsdon; a brother, Charles Stapleton; and two sisters, Freda Fowler and Evelyn Pruitt.
She is survived by a son, Charles Richard Lehman and his wife, Linda, of Ashland; a daughter, Karen Carroll and her husband, Bud, of Franklin, Ohio; a son-in-law, James Logsdon of Union; a brother, Russell Harold Stapleton of Ashland; two sisters, Vera Stemmer of Flatwoods and Ruby Luckett of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel by Kenneth Vaughn. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
