Amanda Pauline Little - 1921-2009
Amanda Pauline Little, 87, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday morning, Feb. 24, 2009, in Frankfort Regional Hospital in Frankfort, Ky.
She was born Nov. 7, 1921, in Elliott County, Ky., a daughter of the late Oscar and Ethel Robinson Porter.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Edgar E. Little, in 2003; and a brother, Morris Porter.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Surviving are a daughter, Saundra (Larry E.) Epley of Frankfort; a brother, Warren (Joann) Porter of Flatwoods, Ky.; sisters Evelyn Webb of Columbus, Ohio, and Edna (Karl) Faulkner of Union, Ky.; grandchildren Larry Dean (Tammy) Epley of Oldham County, Ky., Lewis Earl (Madelaine) Epley of Lexington, Ky., and Amanda Sue (Brian) Hendrix of Frankfort; and great-grandchildren Taylor Dean Epley, Emily Epley, Gabriella Epley, Olivia Ann Epley, Julian Enochs and Addison Hendrix. Also surviving are a host of loving nieces, nephews and caregivers.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Maurice Pugh and Dr. Harold Moore. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
