Fred A. Norris Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1948 - 2009 Fred A. Norris - 1948-2009 Fred A. Norris, 60, of Homosassa, Fla., formerly of Ashland, passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 23, 2009, in Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River, Fla. He was born Feb. 28, 1948, in Louisa, Ky., a son of Sarah Edwards Norris of Ashland, Ky., and the late Emmett Norris. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and many friends in Florida and Kentucky. He was retired from American Car Foundry. He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Dorothy McComas of Homosassa; a son, Fred Allen Norris Jr. of Ashland; a brother, Billy Ray Norris of Ashland; a sister, Loeda White and her husband, Bob, of Dayton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Judy Norris of Ravenswood, W.Va.; and many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Entombment will be in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Feb. 27, 2009, at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you during this difficult time. I am a first cousin of Fred's but unfortunately never got the chance to meet him. I have met his sister, Loeda, and if he was anything like her he was a wonderful man and will be missed greatly.
