Carol Perkins Groves - 1953-2009
Carol Perkins Groves, 55, of Ashland, Ky., was surrounded by her loving family and friends when she was called to be with the Lord on March 23, 2009, in Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Groves was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Ashland, and was the daughter of the late Archie and Avanelle Carter Perkins.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Estill Groves.
She is a homemaker and member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons Estill Hobert Groves II and his wife, Laura, and Anthony Robert Groves and his wife, Priscilla, all of Ashland; daughters Patricia Vannatter and her husband, Brad, and Melinda Groves and Melissa Sue Groves, all of Ashland; brother Danny Perkins and his wife, Becky, of Westwood; sisters Kathy Deboard and her husband, James, of Westwood and Linda Dalton and her husband, Abe, of Catlettsburg; and grandchildren Josh Groves, Estill Groves III, Zachary Young, Luke Groves, Adam Groves, Ryan Young, Alex Enyart, Teagan Groves, Andrew Enyart, Keely Vannatter and Conner Groves.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.
The funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Mike Rice. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2009, at the funeral home.
