Loretha H. Walker Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2009 Loretha H. Walker - 1941-2009 Loretha H. Walker, 67, of Flatwoods, Ky., died March 31, 2009, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center. She was born April 28, 1941, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of Robert Salyers of Ashland, Ky., and the late Georgia Gollihue Salyers. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robby Jo Walker; and two sons, Cecil and Jerry Evans. She was a retired seamstress and of the Methodist faith. Additional survivors include sons Randy Evans of Ashland, Ky., and Gary Evans and Terry Evans, both of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Debbie Wurts of Georgetown, Ky.; a brother, Charles Rice of Catlettsburg, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at noon Friday, April 3, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Jim Barrett. Burial will be in Kirby Flats Cemetery. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may make contributions to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

Lori, was a wonderful inspiration even during her days of pain. The Walker family was proud to call her their sister-in-law. She will be missed. We extend our condolences to her children. God's mercy endureth forever. God Bless you all.
