Betty Virginia Godsey 80, of Ashland, KY died Monday morning, April 6, 2009 at Wurtland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born October 19, 1928 in Ashland, Kentucky a daughter of Anna Pauline Slogic Godsey Fannin of Ashland and the late Ural Godsey. She was also preceded in death by a cousin; Thomas E. Slogic, Jr.
Betty had devoted her life to the love and care of her mother. A good Christian woman who loved to attend the Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle where she was a member for over 30 years and had also been a Sunday School teacher. She was a graduate of Ashland High School and attended Seminary College in Nashville, TN.
In addition to her mother she is survived by cousins: Midge Selogic, Frank Slogic, Scott Slogic, Paul Litteral & Frances Bailey.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Reverend Lloyd Bailey. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
