Mary Elizabeth Ripoll Thompson (1923-2009)
Mary Elizabeth Ripoll Thompson, 85, of Ashland, died on March 28, 2009, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1923, the daughter of the late Vicente Casto and Elsie Fridley Ripoll in Lochgelly, W.Va.
She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mote Thompson of Ashland; two sons, Tom Thompson of Long Boat Key, Fla., and Jeff Thompson of Minneapolis, Minn.; a brother, William Ripoll of Oak Hill, W.Va.; and a sister, Paquita Sarver.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Tyree Funeral Home, 999 Jones Ave., Oak Hill, WV 25901, officiated by the Rev. Jack Barker.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. until service time. Entombment was in Highlawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
