Dear McKee Family, My older sister Dorothy, who checks the Independent, told me of Mrs. McKee's recent death. Please accept my sympathy. Our family lived diagonally across Hilton from 1938 to 1943. My sister was a good friend and high school classmate of John's. I can well remember visiting the McKee house as a child at age 5-11. Also vivid are memories of your Collie "Pal". He would spend part of most nights making the loop to the Irwins, Reinartz's and then home. I still have a picture of him with 5-6 of the neighborhood kids. Hilton was a fun place for a kid my age with good neighbors and a big woods to explore. Sincerely, Stan Reinartz Huntsville, AL

As you know, the Reinartz & Mckee families were neighbors. After we moved to Middletown, I kept in close touch with Opal, always stopping to see her in the court. She was a dear friend & I cherish wonderful memories of her and all the McKees. With sympathy and 70 yrs. of love, Dorothy
