Anna Lee Pope (1921-2009)
Anna Lee Pope, 88, of Ashland, Ky., died April 26, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Fultz, Ky. (Carter County), a daughter of the late Lewis and Lillian R. Littleton Pope.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester R. Pope, and a sister, Opal Marie Pope.
She was former executive secretary for Don Putnam Jr. for 28 years and a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she formerly served as secretary.
Surviving are nieces, Susan Staton and Mary Beth Pope; nephews, Stephen Pope and Mark Pope; aunt, Faye Burnett; an uncle, June Littleton, and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Pope, of Huntington, W.Va.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. John Moore. Burial will be Rose Hill Burial Park.
