Evelyn Mae Stephens Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2009 Evelyn Mae Stephens - 1917-2009 Evelyn Mae Stephens, 92, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday morning, July 7, 2009, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility. Mrs. Stephens was born Dec. 12, 1917, in Ashland, a daughter of the late William McDaniel and Florence Davenport. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Jack Davenport; her husband, Mayo Stephens; and three sisters, Lucille, Deloris and Pauline. She was a retired seamstress and of the Baptist faith. Surviving are three special cousins, Virginia Knuckles of Ashland and Pam Worley and Steve Rush, both of Flatwoods, Ky.; a special friend, David Lee of Flatwoods; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Charles Bush. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.
