Finis Edmond Byrd Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1946 - 2009 Finis Edmond Byrd - 1946-2009 Finis Edmond Byrd, 62, of West Liberty, died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Mr. Byrd was born Aug. 12, 1946, in West Liberty, the son of Imogene Nipper Byrd of Ashland and the late Luther Edmond Byrd. Mr. Byrd was of the Baptist faith and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was self-employed and did construction work. He also was preceded in death by a grandchild, Missy Perkins. He is survived by his wife, Donna Crance Byrd; a son, Eddie Byrd, and his wife, Sherrisa, of Garrison; two sisters, Barbara Daniels and her husband, Landen, of Ashland, and Rebecca Williams of Hurricane, W.Va.; and grandchildren Jennifer Byrd and C.J. Byrd. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with the Rev. Michael Gullett officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Byrd Family Cemetery in West Liberty. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 21, 2009, at the funeral home.
