Henry Allen Hensley Sr. - 1931-2009
Henry Allen Hensley Sr., 78, of Covington, Ky., formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, July 24, 2009, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, Ky.
He was born Feb. 3, 1931, in Catlettsburg, Ky.
He was an automotive parts specialist with SKF in Hebron, Ky., a Korean Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 76.
Surviving are his wife, Nadine Woodrum Hensley of Covington; sons Henry Hensley Jr. of Hurricane, W.Va., and Allen Hensley and his wife, Gail, of Spring Hope, N.C.; daughters Elsie R. Nelson and her husband, George, of Jackson, Ohio, Denise A. Hensley of Walton, Ky., Kim Shafer and her husband, Jack, and Sheila McCoy and her husband, Patrick, all of Huntington, W.Va., Tina Osterman of Cynthiana, Ky.; a brother, William Hensley and his wife, Lois, of Owensboro, Ky.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Edgel Whitt. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post No. 93 of Kenova, W.Va.
