Hello Everybody Discussion about the earths temperature increase - or global warming are generally too scientific to participate in - however, an earthquake shaking an entire country into disaster cannot be another disregarded statistic. Hundreds of thousads are dead and homeless Please help the victims to Chile & Haiti http://www.google.com/relief/haitiearthquake/

The action taken to local and national disasters is noble but it's a damn shame that so many people take advantage of the negative situations. I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill - there's always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers. This is in response to reading that 4 of Oprah Winfreys "angels" got busted ripping off the system. Shame on them! http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/08/19/crimesider/entry5251471.shtml

I was so sorry to read about Virginia's passing. We were neighbors years ago in the "Normal" neighborhood in Ashland. My mom, Velma Ham, was always happy to see Virginia downtown or at Steele's pharamcy. Virginia always had a smile.

Grandma Virginia was the most vibrant, fun, and full of life person I have ever known. She will be dearly missed by my whole family. Savannah Virgina Rice (my daughter) was named in her honor, and is very sad, as we all are. Thank the LORD we will see her again, in Heaven when our time comes. Wish I could be there... Love Robbie...

Ginnie, We so very much wish we could have spent more time with you these last years. Though sad, we also rejoice with the angels that you are finally at rest and in peace with our Lord. Your little Savannah Virginia especially misses you so much!

I was so saddened to see Mrs. Armstrong's obituary in the online Ashland paper this morning. I have heard about her from my mother Frances Ross Godbey all of my life. They were classmates together in Catlettsburg as children and in high school. We have pictures of Ginnie in an old album of my mother's. Whenever we came back to Catlettsburg to visit my grandparents we'd always stop in the drug store to see Mom's old friend. They laughed and laughed about good times. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I know you'll miss your mother.
