Mary Evelyn Hallenbeck - 1936-2009
Mary Evelyn Hallenbeck, 73, of Ashland, formerly of Naples, Fla., died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Home in Flatwoods. She was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Miami, Fla. to the late Joseph and Eva Anderson Hiott. She worked for 30 years as an elementary school cafeteria manager in Naples, Fla.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Hallenbeck of Naples, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Turner and husband Howard of Ashland; a sister, Shirley Lightner of Hollywood, Fla.; four grandchildren, Chelsea Turner, Christian Turner, Amanda Merritt and Haley Hallenbeck; and two great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland with Dr. Floyd Paris. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum.
