Mary Eva HatfieldMary Eva Hatfield - 1912-2010

Mary Eva Hatfield, 97, went to be with our Father in Heaven on Feb. 24, 2010, in Kingsbrook Life care Center.

She was born April 30, 1912, in Elliott County, Ky., a daughter of the late Lewis and Jessie Mulkey Conway.

In addition, she was preceded in death by husbands Hurston Prince, Marvin Hart and Clarence Hatfield; brothers Thurman, Lowell Bud and Harry Conway; and sisters Naoma White, Esther Altavolt and Thelma Dunn.

She worked at Clayton Lambert and White Swan Laundry. She attended Route 5 Enterprise Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons James Prince and wife Millie and Donald Prince and wife Janet, all of Oviedo, Fla.; a daughter, Joyce Stevens of Flatwoods, Ky.; a brother, Ronald Conway of Ashland, Ky.; sisters Anna Lycans and Nina White of Florida, Temperence Linville of West Virginia, Maxine Anderson of California and Eloise Hunble of Louisa, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Gregory Dale Stevens and wife Carol of Ashland, Tammy Stapleton and husband Anthony of Seattle, Wash., Donna Serafine and husband Danny, Dreama Melton and late husband Fred, Timothy Prince and wife Randi, William Prince and wife Ann, John Prince and wife Lee Ann and David Prince and wife Lorien, all of Florida; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Jim Nichols. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery in Westwood, Ky.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Friends may make contributions to the Wildwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 3414 Charles St., Ashland, KY 41102.
