
Clova Magdalene Masters Gillespie, 84, of Worthington, KY formerly of Ashland passed away Monday, March 01, 2010 in Kings Daughters Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born March 4, 1925 in Soldier, KY. A daughter to the late Herbert Earl & Virgie Olive Dailey Masters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Naomi Ruth Gillespie, two sisters Cova Mae Craft, Maude Olive Francis, five brothers, Billy Coburn Masters, Hobert Lee Masters, Herbert William Masters, Robert Franklin Masters, Vernon Earl Masters.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Church of God in Raceland, KY.
She touched the lives of many and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her home was always open and she was always in the kitchen ready to cook a big meal to whoever dropped in, and you always received many hugs and kisses.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years William Ray Gillespie, a daughter Betty E. Woods (William) of Worthington, Ky, a grandson Monty Allen Woods (Gina) of Russell, Ky. Five sisters Violet Faye (Janie) Rudler of Franklin, Pa., Cora Magdalene Casstevens, of Winston Salem, NC, Linda Kay Frisby, Ollie (Teddy) Peyton, Wilma Earl (Cub) Lykins, all of Ezel, Ky. Four brothers Carl Junior Masters, of Elizabethtown, Ky. Charles Clayton Masters, of West Liberty, Ky, Ray Thomas Masters, Dayton, Oh. and Clifford Douglas (Kip) Masters, of Wellington, Ky. She is also survived by a host of loving Nieces & Nephews to whom she was a very special aunt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00AM Thursday, March 4, 2010 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel by Pastor Richard Dartey & Reverend Asa Gillespie. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
