Wahneta M. Decker - 1914-2010
Wahneta M. Decker, 96, of Ashland, Ky., died March 23, 2010, in Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
She was born Feb. 23, 1914, in New Vienna, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles and Lena Fisher Hodson.
In addition, she was preceded in death by husbands Grady Carroll and Lee Decker; a daughter, Sandra Radder; and two brothers, Harold and Wilbur Hodson.
She was a member of Fairview Friends Church of New Vienna and Burma Chapter 471 Order of Eastern Star. She was a beautician and a homemaker.
Surviving are sons James Secord and wife Doris of Ashland and Maj. Gen. Richard Secord and wife JoAnn of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Helen Davis of Wilmington, Ohio; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Harold Hodson Jr.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at New Vienna Cemetery in New Vienna, Ohio, officiated by the Rev. Tyler Hodson.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Rose Hill Christian School, 1001 Winslow Road, Ashland, KY 41102.
