Verna N. Arthur (1942-2010)
Verna N. Arthur, 67, of Ashland, Ky., died April 1, 2010, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born June 9, 1942, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Johnnie and Alice Epperson.
In addition, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, James W. Arthur Jr., in 2004.
She was retired from National City Bank after 20 years of service.
Surviving are a son, Jeremy Lee Arthur of Ashland; daughters Belinda Leigh Davis and her husband, Robert D. Stambaugh Jr., of Ashland and Jeanette Parker and husband Randy of Jacksonville, N.C.; and grandchildren David Ferreby and Ricky T. Parker, both of Jacksonville, and Kyle W. Litteral, Troy A. Litteral and Jamie M. Litteral, all of Ashland.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Gary Arrington. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
