
Mary Lou Thompson - 1949-2010
Mary Lou Thompson, 61, of Rush, Ky., died April 8, 2010 at her residence.
She was born March 26, 1949, in Delevan, Wis., a daughter of Genevieve Prasch of Delevan and the late Alvin Williams.
In addition, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Lee Thompson; and a brother, Jack Williams.
She was a caregiver and carrier for The Independent. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Womens Missionary United, Democratic Executive Board of Boyd County, Boyd County Democratic Womens Club, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire Girls, and Certified Emergency Response Team of Boyd County.
Additional survivors include her husband, Paul Scott Thompson of Rush; daughters, Patricia Sue Salmon (Phillip) of Ray City, Ga., Paula Thompson of Rush, and Maria Hughes (Jeff) of Morehead, Ky.; brother, Chuck Williams; sisters, Sue Ginner (Gary), Dorothy Mitchell and Jean Miller (Ken); grandchildren, David Thompson, Chelsey Thompson, Austin Forbess, Taylor Forbess, Belle Gee and Gabe Hughes; nephews, Shawn Mitchell and Brian Miller; and nieces, Maria Drolet, Alys Adams, Paige Williams and Stephanie Miller.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Dr. Floyd Paris. Burial will be in Thompson-Wells Cemetery in Rush.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be John Hillman, Medley Thompson, Austin Forbess, David Thompson, Jeff Hughes and Chuck Williams.
