Allan Ray Rigsby Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1949 - 2010 Allan Ray Rigsby, 60, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday evening, June 13, 2010, in Kings Daughters Medical Center. He was born Aug. 6, 1949, in Ashland, a son of the late Leo Samuel and Gertrude Woled Rigsby. He was a retired contractor and owner of A-Gar Construction Co. He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and a Vietnam veteran and Kentucky colonel. He was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Leah Hoffman Rigsby of Ashland; a daughter, Angela Leah and husband Dennis A. Roberts of Nicholasville, Ky.; brothers Lee Rigsby and wife Stephanie, Justin K. Rigsby and Kenneth Rigsby and wife Kathy, all of Ashland, and Steven Rigsby and wife Judy of Worthington, Ohio; and a sister, Karen Riley and husband Chris of Ashland. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens, with military rites by American Legion Kenova Post 93. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 15, 2010, at the funeral home. Friends may make contributions to South Ashland United Methodist Church, 2203 29th St., Ashland, KY 41101. Condolences may be sent to www.steenfuneralhomes.com.
