Mary Edna Stanley of Ashland, Ky., died Monday morning, Nov. 29, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Stanley was born in Ashland, a daughter of the late Arlie and Mayme Miller Sparks.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Douglas Skip Stanley.
She was retired from Ashland Oil Inc., a member of Wildwood First Church of God and an avid UK fan.
Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Douglas R. Stanley of Ashland; two sons, Jim (Patty) Stanley and Glendon Stanley, both of Ashland; a daughter, Marg (Roger) Winsor of Brunswick, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Stanley of Sabina, Ohio; a brother, Edward (Sonya) Sparks of Ashland; a sister, Martha Cripple of Findlay, Ohio; grandchildren Stephanie (Matt) Chavis, Lori (Mike) Hickman, Shane (Christy) Stanley, Doug Stanley, Justin Stanley, John Stanley and Jared (Emily) Stanley; and great-grandchildren Taylor Chavis, Suzanna Chavis, Jenna Stanley, Evan Stanley and Ian Stanley.
There will not be a public service or visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
