Helen T. Daniel, age 86, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday morning, Dec. 10, 2010 in Boyd Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 27, 1924, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Oscar and Barbara Fraley Tussey.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ernie H. Daniel; and a sister, Betty Netch.
She and her husband were the owners of Daniels Home Bakery in Ashland and was a devoted homemaker.
She was a member of Holy Family Church, a 1942 graduate of Ashland High School, former member of Eastern Star and volunteered for the Festival of Trees at the Paramount Arts Center, Community Hospice and a Kings Daughters Auxiliary volunteer.
Surviving are a son, Jeff (Beth) Daniel of Ashland, Ky.; a brother, Bill Tussey of Flatwoods, Ky.; grandchildren, Josh Daniel of Natchez, Miss., and Heath Daniel of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; special cousin, Carl Tolliver of Ashland, Ky.; nieces, Sharon Horton of Hilton Head, S.C., and Barbara Netch of Flatwoods, Ky.; and a nephew, Lynn B. Tussey of Ashland, Ky.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 at Holy Family Church in Ashland by Father John Noe.
Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
