Dorothy Grimm, 79, of Ashland, died Monday evening, Jan. 10, 2011, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born May 22, 1931, in West Liberty, a daughter of the late Eddie and Myrtle Hill.
In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Grimm, in 1994; two sons, Michael Grimm and Timothy Grimm; four brothers; and a sister.
She retired from Elmwood Village after many years as an LPN.
Surviving are a son, Jeffery (Wendy) Grimm of Ashland; two daughters, Teresa Sears of Deer Trail, Colo., and Jennifer (Douglas) Ross of Lexington; two daughters-in-law, June Grimm of Flatwoods and Sandy Grimm of Ashland; sisters Sophie Kelly of Ashland, Faye Wright of Greenup and Loretta Wright of Beckley, W.Va.; grandchildren Kenny Grimm, Ryan Sears, Samantha Sears, Ben Grimm, Tori Gehrling, Victoria Grimm, Kelson Grimm, Melanie Grimm and Allen Ross; and a great-grandchild, Eoin Halfacre.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Brian Steele. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at the funeral home.
