Carol Miranda Adkins Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1957 - 2011 Carol Miranda Adkins, 53, of Lexington formerly of Ashland, died March 3, 2011 in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born July 2, 1957 in Washington, D.C. to David and Jane Hitt Miranda of Ashland. She was a former pre-school teacher in Lexington, very active in her local church and a 1975 graduate of Boyd County High School.She was very excited about the June births of her two grandchildren. She is survived by son, Chris Adkins (Brooke) of Lexington; daughter, Jamie Adkins (Isaac) of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Cindy Miranda Bailey (Gordon) of Ashland and Mary AnnMiranda (Kristian Klaene) of Lexington and a host of loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel with Pastor Donald Hussell. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Monday,March 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to steenfuneralhome.com.
