Danny L. Stone, 63, of South Point, formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Monday afternoon, March 28, 2011, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 15, 1948, in Ashland, a son of the late George Edward and Betty Lyons Stone.
He was a retired concrete finisher, of the Baptist faith and an avid bingo player and fisherman.
Surviving are his former wife and mother of the children, Judith Gail Stone of South Point; sons Ronald (Melissa) Stone and Danny (Melody) Stone Jr., both of Ashland, Ricky (Becky) Stone of South Point, Bradley Stone of Ironton and Roger Stone of South Point; a daughter, Kimberly Stone of Ironton; a brother, George E. Stone Jr. of Jeffersonville; sisters Loretta Garcia of Jeffersonville, Sherrie Ann Stone of Ashland and Jerri Craig of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, March 30, 2011, at the funeral home.
