Barbara Jo Donithan of Lexington, formerly of Ashland, died Nov. 22, 2011.
She was born June 28, 1931, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles O. and Martha Jones Pergrem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil E. Pergrem, Charles H. Pergrem and Nard Pergrem and sisters, Gertrude May, Jeanne Ward and Etta Maye Conley.
She was a retired deputy cashier for the city of Ashland and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Donithan of Lexington; a son, James Donithan, Jr. (Michalene) of Richmond, Va; four grandchildren, Kristin Beth Donithan Mogg of Cincinnati, Ohio, James Brandon Donithan (Angel) of Mechanicsville, Va., Megan LeeAnn Kanner (Ross) of Ashland, Va., and Jeremy Michael Donithan of Mehanicsville, Va., and two great-grandchildren, Ella Mogg and Camden Donithan.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Dr. Wesley Smith. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at the funeral home.
