June D. Quillen, 87, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 17, 2012, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
She was born June 7, 1924, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Phillip Andrew and Dessie Webb Holschuh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Bob Quillen, in 1985; a son, Robert Phillip Quillen, in 1994; two brothers, Billie and Harold Holschuh; and four sisters, Helen Lutz, Freda Gress, Kathryn Payne and Colleen Murphy.
June had been a member of First Baptist Church of Ashland since 1952.She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Ashland Senior Center and enjoyed working in her yard.
Survivors include sons Gary Lee "Beef" (Jennifer) Quillen of Logan, Utah and Gregory Scott Quillen of Ashland; a sister, Eilleen (Vic)Atwood of Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren Malissa (Dennis) Mollett, Marilee (JR)Cooper, Philip Quillen, Candace (Doug) Smith,Mark (Natalie)Quillen,Seth (Kelly) Quillen, Jared (Jessie) Quillen, Alicia Quillen, Rachel (Colin) Geslin andJoseph Quillen; 13 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, George Adkins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Ashland by the Rev. Harold Moore. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
