Adeline Lee Castle, 83 of Ashland died Wednesday morning, March 7, 2012 at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
She was born February 18, 1929 in Charlie, KY, a daughter of the late James Monroe and Vessie Mae O'Bryan Castle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, George Edward Castle; brothers, Aubrey Eugene Castle and Hoyt E. Castle and sisters, Maxine Hurst, Cora Blair and Janet Bishop.
Adeline was of the Baptist faith. She worked as a waitress at the Bluegrass, Culligans and the Auger Inn and catered many weddings and events.
To know Lee, she was the back bone of the family. She was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved all and took care of all.
Survivors include brothers, Thomas Castle & wife Ana of Rochester Hill, MI, and Lonnie Paul Castle and wife Ethel of Pontiac, MI; sisters, Jewell Lemaster of Waterford, MI, Beatrice Mabry of Olive Hill, KY and LouVerne Blinn of FL; a nephew whom she helped raise, Robert Michael Clay and a host of loving nieces, nephews extended family members and friends.
The funeral service will be conducted 2:00PM Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by the Reverend Clell Lucas. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, KY.
Friends may call from Noon to 2PM Saturday, at the funeral home.
