Mary Lou Reisig, 73, of Ashland, passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
She was born July 21, 1938, in Elmira, N.Y., to the late Edward and Louise Pawlak Lepkowski.
She was a teacher at St. Joseph in Huntington, W.Va. She was also a member of Holy Family Church in Ashland and Greenup County Homemakers and received her Bachelors of Education from the University of Buffalo.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Reisig of Ashland; sons, Mark Reisig and wife Amy of Strasburg, Va., Jeffrey Reisig of Lexington and Kevin Reisig and wife Heather of Rensselaer, N.Y.; a daughter, Jennifer Reisig Richard and husband Thomas of Coventry, R.I.; a brother, Edward Lepkowski and wife Eilene of Staten Island, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren, Derek, Kristin, Cameron, Skyler, Tyler and Allie Reisig and Justin and Lauren Richard.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at Holy Family Church in Ashland by Father John Noe.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. A Rosary service will be at 5:30 p.m. today. The body will lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
