Helen Irene Killin, 75, of Ashland passed away Tuesday evening, May 8, 2012 at the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born January 27, 1937 in Willard, KY., the daughter of the late Clifford & Dollie Blevins Reeves. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Bayer and a brother, Robert G. Reeves.
She was a former employee of Allied Chemical/Ak Steel Coke Plant where she worked in the Accounting Department and attended Meade Station Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Carl L. Killin of Ashland; one son, Bruce Kevin Bowling & his wife Cheryl of Versailles, KY; one daughter, Kathy Ramona Prichard of Raceland; one step-son, Michael Killin & his wife Valerie of Houston, TX; one step-daughter, Melinda Gregory & husband Tim of Russell; four grandchildren, Kevin Eric Bowling, Evan Alise Bowling, Trevor Andrew Prichard and Tiffani Rahyn Venoy & her husband Max; one great-grandson, Christopher Jaxson Witt; one great-granddaughter, Rachel Renee Bowling-Tyra; one step-granddaughter, Melissa Cyrus of Flatwoods; three sisters, Betty Pence & husband Gene of Grayson, Shirley Griffith of Olive Hill and Susan Pritchett of Baltimore, MD. Additional survivors include a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, May 14, 2012 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Pastor Rob Jordan. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
