Dr. Arthur Gilbert Gil Quade, 83, died May 9 in Brecksville, Ohio.
Formerly of Ashland, he was born April 21, 1929, a son of the late Arthur G. and Doris Gallaher Quade.
Gil graduated from Ashland Senior High School, attended the University of Kentucky and received his degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. He retired from the Brecksville VA Hospital.
Gil was a member of Brecksville United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Theodore Breck Masonic Lodge for 37 years. He was Past Master and 33rd Degree Mason, Past Grand Tyler of Ohio and Coordinator of the Masonic Services Association for many years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl F. Quade and James L. Quade.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Joan MacGregor Quade; his daughters, Robbie Weber (David) and Jeanne Quade; and his grandsons, Justin and Ryan Weber.
Visitation was at Norsek-McCreery Funeral Home in Brecksville, followed by a Masonic service. Funeral services were on May 15.
