Judith A. Goble, 73, of Flatwoods passed away Friday evening, August 10, 2012 at the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born February 25, 1939 in Boyd County, KY, a daughter of the late Arvil and Margaret Elizabeth Wheeler Marcum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Edward Marcum.
Judy was of the Baptist faith, attended Ashland High School and worked at Pollock's Jewelers for many years.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas Goble, Sr. of Flatwoods; son, Thomas Goble, Jr. and wife Dedra Dee Dee of Wurtland, KY; daughters, Deborah Helton and husband Paul of Ashland and Cathy Lynn Gipson and husband Barry of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Clara Soloman and Elizabeth Midge Phillips and both of Marion , OH, Virginia Dutch Burdette of St. Albans, WV and Arvilla Hostetler of Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren, Michael Barry Gipson, Jessica Lynn Dawson, Jennifer Ann Wilks, Courtney Renee` Hale, Brittney Goble and Zacharey Goble and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 13, 2012 at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel by Major Don Hostetler. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from Noon-1:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
