James Kennith Bartley, 73, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, in Faith Hospice at Trillium Wood in Byron Center, Mich.
He was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church where he served as deacon. He retired as a purchasing agent with Brown Food Service.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Doris Daniels Bartley of Ashland; son Greg Bartley and wife Sheree of Ashland; daughter Lisa Bartley Platt and husband Kevin of Kentwood, Mich.; and two grandchildren, Rebekah Ann Platt and Daniel James Platt.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Rose Hill Burial Park with Pastors Tom Keelin and Brian Wray officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Steen Funeral Homes in Ashland.
