Mary Jane Fisher, 83, of Russell, passed away Thursday morning, May 8, 2014, in Rest Haven Nursing Home in McDermott, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Jeff and Goldie Pack Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Buhl Fisher in 1998; a daughter, Susan Denise Ferris; two brothers, Jeff Adkins Jr. and Wallace Lee Adkins; and two sisters, Christine Wright and Diana Gail Lester Hall.
Mary was a member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindie Joy Lee and husband Parker of Russell; brothers, Robert Ray Adkins of Ashland, James Adkins of Columbus, Ohio, and David Allen Adkins of South Carolina; sisters, Betty Jo Highfield and Phyllis Jean Dickison; four grandchildren, Michelle Mahoney, Brad Ashenfelter, Kiera Midkiff and Christopher Lee; and seven great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Ryan, Alexis, Isabelle, Haley, Lillian and Avery.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Pastor Norman Staker will officiate. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
