Mary R. Stewart, 86, of Ashland died Saturday, Feb. 8, at the home of her son.
Mrs. Stewart was born March 2, 1916, in Greenup County, the daughter of the late Joe and Elizabeth Sarks Ashley.
She was the wife of the late Carl Stewart, who died in 1989.
She was a former employee of Bellefonte Hospital and King's Daughters Medical Center Laundry Department, and a member of Princess Chapel.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Carl Ray and Doris Stewart of Ashland; one daughter and her special friend, Frances Townsend and Wayne Morgan of Newark, Ohio; two grandchildren, Cheryl Wilson of Portsmouth, Va., and Regina Moore of Ashland; and two great-grandchildren, Kristen and Cameron Moore.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Mausoleum Chapel, with the Rev. Clell Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
