Edward Savage, 83, of Ashland, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 15, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born July 30, 1919, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late George and Ruth Mae Lee Savage.
Mr. Savage was a member of the Pollard Baptist Church in Ashland. He was a farmer.
He is survived by two daughters, Virginia Ruth Messenger of Tampa, Fla., and Ella Margaret Howard of Joliet, Ill.; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends; special friends, Tony and Darlene Arthur and their son Tony Arthur II, Taylor and Bronson Cordle II, and Don and Carolyn Trimble, all of Westwood.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Jerry Fain. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
