1915-2002

Nancy M. Music, 86, of Hernando, Fla., died Jan. 28, 2002, at her home under the loving care of her daughter, Linda, and Citrus County Home Health.

Mrs. Music was born Nov. 4, 1915, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the daughter of the late Sydney Grant and Ida Lee Thornbury.

She was a buyer for the Lydia Ellis Dress Company.

A former member of First Baptist Church of Ashland, where she was married 60 years ago, she taught the Young Married Sunday School Class there. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Inverness, Fla., and its Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Ladies Missionary Society and Roundtable Circles in both Ashland and Inverness, and was a former member of the Garden Club Bellefonte Chapter in Ashland.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Wendell Music Sr., of Hernando, Fla.; a son, the Rev. Ernest Wendell Music Jr., of Farmington, Mich., and his wife Lila; a daughter, Linda Music Thompson and her husband Darrell of Hernando; a sister, Nina Mae Mock of Ashland; two grandsons, Timothy P. Lofton and his wife, Holly, of Springboro, Ohio, and Robert Lee Music of Flagstaff, Ariz; three stepgranddaughters, Crystal Thompson, Susan Jackson and her sons Nicholas and Phillip, and Vicki Bullion and daughter Katie; two nieces, Lynette Music Riddle and Suzanne Ridde; and three nephews, Jerry Paul Music, Bill Music and Grant Thornbury III.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in the mausoleum chapel at Rose Hill Burial Bark by the Rev. Ernest Wendell Music Jr., and with a vocal presentation by Lynette Music. Interment will follow in the mausoleum.

Friends may call Monday from noon to time of service at the mausoleum.
