1923-2002
Erma M. Zandona, 78, of Fort Meyers, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at Norton Hospital in Louisville following a brief illness.
Mrs. Zandona was born in Freeport, Pa., on Feb. 12, 1923, the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Trettle Pangrazi.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland. She was very active in the Bellefonte Country Club and golf and bridge groups.
She was a world traveler, married 58 years to Oliver Zandona.
She was diagnosed in mid-January with cancer of the pancreas. She was a wonderful mother and wife.
A friend said she ``always gave of herself more than she received." This is a great loss to her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Oliver D. Zandona of Doha, Quatar; four daughters, Sandra Bowers of Tipaie, Taiwan, Karen McCracken of Midland Texas, and Marcia Sanders and Kathy Zandona, both of Louisville; a brother, Lawrence Pangrazi of Buffalo, N.Y.; a sister, Angie Wetter of Freeport, Pa.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Tom Klingzing officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home Marshall Steen Chapel.
