Eileen Dennison Stambaugh, 77, of Ashland, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at King's Daughters Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Paintsville on May 23, 1924, the daughter of the late Leonard and Sylvia Collins Dennison.
She was retired from the F.W. Means Co.
She was also a member of the Protestant faith, the VFW Auxiliary, the Eagles Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Prince Dennison.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Kitty Stambaugh of Lake Orion, Mich., Michael and Donna Stambaugh of Goodrich, Mich. and Marshall and Paula Stambaugh of Ashland; a daughter and son-in-law, Marlene Stambaugh Ward and Glen Ward of Van Lear; a brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Faye Dennison of Catlettsburg; a sister-in-law, Lorriane Dennison of Ohio; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice and Richard Hites and Wandena and Everett Lee Young, all of Van Lear; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be noon Monday at the Steen Funeral Home Ashland Chapel with the Rev. Harold Berrian officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
