David Lee Gore, 60, of Lexington, Ky., died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, in Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.
Mr. Gore was born Aug. 24, 1942, in Logan, W.Va., a son of Lee A. and Mary Eloise Gore.
He was a construction worker, was a Navy veteran of the Cuban Conflict, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Raceland, Ky.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Diane Wash Gore of Lexington; a son, Douglas Davis Gore of Versailles, Ky.; a daughter, Heather Lee Gore of Lexington; two sisters, Judy See of Louisa, Ky., and Lynda Sands of Carlisle, Ohio; two nephews, William (Rebecca) See and Derek Thomas (Mandy) Sands; and two nieces, Mary Elizabeth (Michael) Kennedy and Andrea Leigh Sands.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Leo Gibson and the Rev. Charles Murphy. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight, Oct. 11, at the funeral home.
