Marie Bales Perry, 85, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Oct. 27, in Cincinnati.
She was born January 13, 1917, in Myra, Ky., the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Hattie Newsome Greer. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Bales, and her husband, Chester Perry.
Mrs. Perry was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ashland. She was a teacher, Mother and homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Robert Michael (Andrea) Bales of St. Charles, Ill.; one daughter, Kathy Bales (Thomas) Bossart of Cincinnati; three brothers, Ralph L. Greer of Lucasville, Ohio, Lloyd Greer of Pikeville and Cecil Greer of Clintwood, Va.; three sisters, Ruth Cury and Phyllis MacDonald, both of California, and Patricia Ricketts of Brevard, N. C.; five grandchildren, Diane Bales of Athens, Ga., Kimberly Webb of Cincinnati, Alison (Lawrence) Martin of Chatanooga, Tenn., Kelly (Greg) Hickey and Julie Webb, all of Cincinnati.
Private graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Johnson Memorial Park, Pikeville, Ky., by the Rev. Colette Hensley.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
