Mary Sue Greene Ross, 81, of Ashland, Ky., died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in Boyd County Nursing and Rehab.
Mrs. Ross was born March 19, 1921, in Paintsville, the daughter of the late Arthur and Samantha Ellen Gibbs Greene. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Roman Greene and a sister, Alice Jewell Fairchild.
She was the wife of Lloyd M. Ross of Ashland.
She was a member of Oak Spring United Baptist Church in Ashland and was a charter member of the Hillendale Homemaker Club. She was a former art teacher for the Federal Correctional Institution and a former employee of the Boyd County Extension Office.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Bridgette and Tom Harding of Pikeville, Ky., and Jo and Randy Sturgill of Ashland; a sister, Pauline Ball of Ashland; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by Ernie Daniel and Tiny Breeding. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 14, 2002, at the funeral home.
