Bernard Ford "Bernie" Haller of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday in King's Daughters Medical Center due to a head injury from a fall.
He was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Ashland, a son of the late Bernard C. and Margaret Ford Haller.
He retired as a shift supervisor from Ashland Oil Inc. in 1993. He was a deacon, a trustee and a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Ashland.
Surviving are his wife of almost 52 years, Roberta Lou Fox Haller; three sons, James F. "Rick" (Nellis) Haller of Ashland, Michael D. "Mike" (Anne) Haller of Ashland and Timothy A. "Tim" (Gayle) Haller of Covington, Ky.; one daughter, Margaret L. "Margie" (David) Ramey of Catlettsburg, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Tim) Davidson of Toledo, Ohio, Erica Haller of Lexington, Ky., Carissa (Steve) Worthington of Lexington, N.C., Megan and Sarah Ramey of Catlettsburg, Andrew Ramey of Ashland, and Jared and Emma Haller of Covington; three great-grandsons, Christian Haller of Lexington, N.C., and Nathaniel and Noah Davidson of Toledo; one brother, Barry M. (Judy) Haller of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Janice M. (Barry) Grimm of Flatwoods, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour before, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the church.
Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
