I am saddened to learn of Che's passing. I went to elementary school with her and she was one of my first "girlfriends" in the 5th grade. I remember her family taking me out one weekend so she and I could have a little date. It's difficult to recall much, but I do remember how sweet she was and how she had a very advanced sense of compassion for someone so young - although I realized this at the time, I was far too immature to appreciate it at the time! Even though several years have passed, this will always be a memory I will cherish!
