Annabelle Tilton
1916-2003
Annabelle Tilton, 2416 Hilton Ave., died Sunday, Feb. 23, in Woodland Oaks Health Facility.
She was born in Ashland on Jan. 29, 1916, a daughter of the late Ollie and Virgie Ison Douglas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Tilton; and a granddaughter, Teresa Tilton Russell.
She was a member of Pollard Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bruce D. Tilton (Sandra), William E. Tilton and daughter-in-law, Sandra F. Tilton, and Robert L. Tilton (Nancy), all of Ashland; two grandsons, Scott Tilton (Elizabeth) and David Tilton; four granddaughters, Chellisa Grimes (Bill), Carrie Tilton, Beth Jones (Adam), and Katie Tilton; three great-grandsons, Jacob Russell, Christopher Tilton, and Jared Tilton; and two great-granddaughters, Ashley Russell and Trinity Jones.
Visitation will be at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Tom Swartzwelder, pastor of Pollard Baptist Church, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pollard Baptist Church.
