Earl Stidham
1937-2003
Earl Lee Stidham, 65, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, March 19, 2003, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
Mr. Stidham was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Ashland, a son of the late John Martin Stidham and Goldie Simpson Stidham Boggess.
He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Ralph Boggess; and a stepsister, Betty Goodwin.
He was retired with 18 years of service at DuPont and 10 years of service with Hanco Plumbing Supply. A U.S. Navy veteran, he attended Cannonsburg-Trinity United Methodist Church, was a member of American Legion, and was a volunteer at the Community Kitchen, where he enjoyed working with Sister Mary Lawrence.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Doerrmann Stidham of Ashland; three daughters, Vicki (Greg) Sallie of Ashland, Jacki (Greg) Regis of Hay Market, Va., and Beth (Terry) Dillon of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Tom Stidham of Alabama and Troy Stidham of Ohio; a stepbrother, June Boggess; a special brother-in-law, Jack Goodwin of Ashland; and grandchildren, Chad and Tyler Sallie, and Abby, Hannah and Emily Regis.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Bruce Hiner. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park with a military service by Kenova American Legion Post #93.
