Myrtle Phillips

Myrtle Payne Phillips, 67, of Ashland, died Tuesday, June 17, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Ashland, a daughter of the late W.J. and Evelyn R. Schmauch Payne.
Mrs. Phillips was a retired Telecommunications Coordinator with Ashland Oil with 38 years of service. She was a member of the Kentucky State Elks Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her husband, Richard T. Phillips; three stepdaughters; one sister, Nancy C. Payne of Ashland; six step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandsons; three nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; seven great-nephews and one great-great-niece.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by Dr. Richard Smith. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
