Bessie Preston

Bessie Marie Preston, 91, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility in Ashland.
She was born Sept. 2, 1911, in Patrick, Ky., a daughter of the late John F. and Martha Murphy Brown.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Claude Arthur Preston, in 1995.
She was a former dietician with the Kentucky State TB Hospital in Ashland and was the Summit School cafeteria dietician for seven and a half years. She was a member of Summit Church of the Nazarene for 58 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Zeta L. Helton and Ella M. Sparks, both of Ashland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, at Summit Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Tim Daniels and the Rev. Harold Berrian. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
