Mary and Wendy, I'm so sorry for your loss. Wendell was a very special person to me, as he was to a lot of other people. I will never be able to hear the name "Duncan," that I won't think of Wendell calling me "little duncan". He will be greatly missed!
If there is anything I can ever do for you or Wendy, please let me know. You know where to find me at the hospital. Sincerely, Becky

To Mary, Wendy, Laurence, and Lauren, Wendall was a true friend to us both. We enjoyed him in our committee meetings for Winter Wonderland and Summer Motion; at concerts for Lawrence and many Paul Blazer events. He will be missed, but believe me never forgotten. Wendall was one of the finest role model for his grandchildren and other young people that he was in contact with. I hope you know the contribution that he has given you and your future. Be proud of him and all of his accomplishments and know that his best contribution was to you all. He was very proud of you and never stopped talking about his family. We loved him and will miss him, put he is where the Lord can use him best. All our best to you and our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow and loss.

I am sorry that I cannot be there with you at this time. Know that my heart is as heavy as yours. I will miss our telephone calls especially during March Madness and our discussions about the University of Kentucky but I will truly miss the Jokes that he told. My prayers are with you.

My condolences to Wendell's family. Wendell and I worked together for a short while at the old Anderson Pharmacy on 16th St. I thought so then and always have that I had not met a finer or friendlier man as Wendell was. I feel very good having met and known him all these years. He will be sadly missed.

To Mrs. Mary Banks & daughter; Dr. Marshall Banks; Mr. Reecie Banks and to all the family members of Bro. Wendell Banks.
From the Fitzpatrick and Johnson family we send to our Ashland family and BTW play mates our love and prayers of peace and comfort during the home (HEAVEN)going celebration of your husband, your brother and your uncle. Our Creator(GOD) says "they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" Isaiah 40:31. Wendell received on 27 June 03 his WINGS along with new strength and now can run or walk where ever he wants to go. But we know that one day we too will get our wings if we would just hold on to God un-changing Hand. Put all your trust in Him. Cry if you must that alright too. But you see our tears are not tears of saddness but tears of Hope and Joy that one day we will be in the number that John saw. God Bless All of You. The Fizpatrick and Johnson (Joan, Ernie, Tyrone, Georgia, Paul.
