Garnet May Bocook

Garnet May Bocook, 79, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, July 31, 2003, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late David N. and May Edwards Barker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bocook, in 2000; and a son, Clyde David Bocook.
A homemaker, she was a member of Pollard Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, John R. Bocook of Ashland; two brothers, Dormie Barker of Ashland and Darrell Barker of Wurtland, Ky.; two sisters, Sarah Barker of Ashland and Lona Hart of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by the Rev. Tom Swartzwelder. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
